As a flat roofing foreman, you will be responsible for leading and organizing roofing crews on various projects.   • An apprentice roofer is a novice roofer who is training to learn the trade. The duties of an apprentice roofer can vary depending on the specific training and company he or she works for, but generally they include the following:
  • Assisting experienced roofers: Apprentice roofers work under the supervision of experienced roofers. They help set up the job site, prepare materials and assist with various tasks.
  • Materials preparation: This includes cutting roofing materials such as shingles, roof rolls or shingles to size, mixing mortar or adhesive, and making sure you have the right tools and materials for the project.
