Train engineering mechanic
This is what you will do:
In your role as a train mechanic, you and your colleagues will know how to contribute to the best possible deployment of our equipment. You do this by ensuring that the trains are in top technical condition and can be safely put on the tracks in good time.
In the position of train technician, you will be responsible for performing technical checks on various types of equipment and troubleshooting simple malfunctions.
Your main activities/duties are:
- Perform technical checks on a daily basis.
- Fix simple malfunctions and defects on our trains.
- Diagnose malfunctions and report them in the prescribed systems.
- Coordinate with your supervisor what analysis and repair work needs to be done.
- Making suggestions for improvement of working methods, techniques and safety.
Who are you?
- You hold an MBO 2 diploma in Mechatronics or you hold another MBO 2 (minimum) diploma in engineering.
- You have relevant technical work experience and/or strong technical affinity.
- You are motivated to combine working and learning and quickly master train technology.
- You enjoy performing inspections and troubleshooting.
- You have the ambition to develop yourself further within train engineering and get excited about solving technical issues where you keep developing yourself professionally and personally.
- You enjoy working with your hands and feel responsible for the quality of your work so that technical checks and breakdowns are picked up and fixed quickly.
